Very Happy Toys will be at the Broadway Street Fair from 10am to 5pm this Saturday (Sept 9).  I will be sharing a tent with my pal Allison Brandt from Who New Creations who does amazing work with textiles.  I was there last year and had a blast meeting new people and watching folks play with the puppets and Woodfolk.  I even entertained a dog with a puppet.  Strange but true.

This year will be another will be another great event for the whole family.  There will be street performers, artisans, street sales, musicians, a silent auction, dance stages and a (free!) Kids Kingdom.

 

The very next day (Sunday Sept 10) Very Happy Toys will have puppets and Woodfolk sets ready to go for  Art in the Park  from 12-5pm.  It is located in the beautiful Ashworth Holmes park in the heart of Caswell Hill.  Here

you will find somewhere around 350 artists set up.  350?  I can hardly wait to see all the talented local talent.  There will be food, entertainment for young and old including musicians and kids artfest.  And I have heard that the new playground is open!

I have attended this event many times over the years as we used to live in the neighbourhood.  Ashworth Holmes is one of the loveliest parks in the city and the warm community vibe makes for one of the most welcoming outdoor events I have been to.  It  would be easy to bring the fam and stay the whole afternoon.  I hope to see you there.
